Ramsagar is a man-made lake located in the village of Tezpur in the Dinajpur district. This lake is the largest man-made lake in Bangladesh with its natural beauty. Ramsagar, with its coastline, has an area of 4,37,492 square meters, a length of 1,031 meters, and a width of 364 meters. The average depth is about 10 meters. There was a ghat in the middle of the west bank of the lake, some of which still remain. When you hear the name Ramsagar, it seems that you understand it is the name of a sea. In fact, Ramsagar is not a sea, it is a lake. The lake is located five miles south of Dinajpur city. At present, a beautiful park has been developed here. Shortly before the battle of Palashi, the famous king Ramnath of Dinajpur dug the lake. This lake is named Ramsagar after King Ramnath. The lake was dug to meet the water needs of the surrounding villages. The lake is surrounded by greenery.
The lake is long in the north-south. Its water body is about one kilometer long. At present Ramsagar Dighi is supervised by the Tourism Department. The tourism corporation has set up a beautiful and modern rest house here to enhance the beauty of the lake and attract tourists. There is a mini zoo in Ramsagar National Park. There are monkeys, pythons, and some deer. There is a children’s park for children with statues of various animals and birds. There are seven picnic corners. A library has been set up in Ramsagar National Park on October 10, 2010 (10-10-10) with the collection of more than eight hundred books under the name of Ramsagar Library.

How to go To Ramsagar Dighi
There are two ways to go from Dhaka by bus and train. Buses from Dhaka to Dinajpur usually depart from Gabtali and Kalyanpur. Nabil Paribahan’s AC bus runs on this route. Rent 900 Tk. Besides, Hanif Enterprise – 8013714, 8015368, SR Travels – 8013793, 8019312, Keya Paribahan – 9000812, SA Paribahan – 9332052, Shyamli Paribahan – 900331, Nabil Paribahan. Rent 500-550 Tk. From Dhaka to Asadgate, College gate, Shyamoli, Kalyanpur, Technical Junction or Gabtali to Nabil, or Bablu Enterprise by chair coach directly to Dinajpur. The cars leave for about 30 minutes or 1 hour in a row throughout the day. Apart from that, some transport also goes to Dinajpur from Uttara.
The intercity train express leaves Dhaka’s Kamalapur railway station at 7.40 pm. The intercity Ekta Express leaves at 9:50 am. Ekta and Drutayan Express from Dhaka are closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays respectively. The rent of elegant seats is 185 Taka, elegant chairs are 250 Taka, first-class chairs are 350 Taka, first-class berths are 535 Taka, AC chairs are 618 Taka, AC berths are 897 Taka. The palace can be reached by autorickshaw from Dinajpur city.

The one-story building has three common and one air-conditioned room. The rent for each common room is Tk 500 per night and the rent for an air-conditioned room is Tk 1000. They have to arrange their own food. It will be a great opportunity to spend a wonderful night on the banks of Ramsagar Dighi at night.
